Let's {Hang} Design

Hey howdy hey folks!

So I want to get another regular post theme going where I answer questions that you guys have and or make suggestions to things you'd like suggestions on.

Lately I have had a few people asking me for help and tips on hanging pictures around their house. Admittedly this can be a pretty daunting task, staring at stacks of frames and blank bare walls begging for some attention. I am a huge fan of grouping pictures and art together, so you have a "gallery" collage going on.

I find it to be a lot more interesting than just a picture here and there. I also think that in any given room, it is preferable to have some framed pictures and some canvas or mixed media art. The combination adds variety and interest to the space. Having all frames in a room can look very nice, but can tend to feel more formal and sometimes flat depending on the use of frames and location.

That being said, I have drawn up a few grouping ideas. The drawings are generic and roughly sized to common frame sizes, but feel free to mix it up and use some art in there too! The drawings can obviously be tweaked to find a fit that is best for your space and if you have a specific area that you want some ideas for, pleae let me know and I can whip something up for you! I have scads of ideas for other lay outs and really just need an excuse to put them together for you.

One of my most favorite arrangements for hallways and wide walls is all over Pinterest and this site did a GREAT job of outlining a simple way to lay it out. I will be honest and admit that I just eyeballed my line down the middle, but I kind of have a knack for that sort of thing. It's not for everybody, and I think putting up a level piece of tape for a guideline is brilliant!

Well I feel like I have prattled on an excessive amount, so Imma call it for now. But please let me know if you want to see more layouts or have other quesions on special spaces.

Happy Tuesday!!!

Take Care
