OH HEY THERE!

Well hi there, strangers! Long time no....me write things and you read them. Sorry for the web silence, but life really picked up there for a bit and I just felt like I was drowning. I didn't have any time to do any extra fun stuff, and when I did have free time, I just wanted to do nothing, so forgive me if you can....and we can keep on being super besties forever, ok? Ok, great!

Whew! That feels better. SO! I have been a busy lady in the last....embarassingly long amount of time since I have been on here to chat at you guys. I was working with a prominent builder in the area, and it was really great and kept me super busy, leaving little time for other, fun stuff. Recently we have parted ways and my life is getting back to it's normal stride. I am able to pour my heart and passion more thoroughly into projects, which I much prefer to the quick meet and greet version of designing people's homes. Don't get me wrong, I had a blast working with all of the different home owners I had the pleasure of meeting, but it was always a bummer to not get to see the end result and to lose that relationship we had built.

Just to catch you up a teensy bit, since I have had some breathing time lately, we have finished out the other half of our basement, ourselves. On par with our kitchen project, and I had a very strong love/hate relationship with the process......also on par with our kitchen project. But now that we are done I LOVE how much more funcitonal the space is. I have a few little projects I want to work on to make the spaces more functional and get some good decor going in there, and I will be sure to share those with you guys!

I am also getting ready to embark on FINALLY (an embarassingly long amount of time after finishing the kitchen) getting a backsplash up in the kitchen! The problem with being a designer, or passionate about design in general, is that sometimes you get over saturated, and it is difficult to make decisions for your own home. BUT I think I have landed on something and I will share that process with you too once we get the ball rolling.

My goal is to try to maintain a weekly blog to keep you in the loop with what I am working on, both in our own home, and on projects with my clients. I am so incredibly in love with what I do for a living that I am thrilled to be able to focus on what I truly love about it and I want to share it with the whole interwebs!!

So please, bear with me, and read stuff I write, if you want to. If not, that's cool too. We're super chill here.
